Emily - Founder of NaraVida
Hi, I’m Emily, a proud mum of two and the founder of NaraVida. My journey here has been anything but ordinary. After stepping away from my career as a Finance Director—where long hours clashed with my desire for a more family-centered life—I found a new purpose in creating a brand that blends science, wellness, and self-care.
My passion for Red Light Therapy began in 2018, during one of the most transformative times of my life. After being told by two consultants that natural conception would be nearly impossible due to Endometriosis, my husband and I decided to take matters into our own hands. He underwent a vasectomy reversal, and we committed to doing everything we could to support both his recovery and my body’s healing. Red Light Therapy became a crucial part of our routine, helping reduce inflammation and enhance recovery.
Four months later, against all odds, I was pregnant naturally. While I believe this incredible outcome was the result of many incremental changes we made, Red Light Therapy played a pivotal role in our journey. It sparked a deep appreciation for its potential to transform lives—not just physically, but emotionally too.
At NaraVida, I’ve channeled that passion into creating solutions that empower others to experience the benefits of innovative wellness technologies, all inspired by my own story of hope, healing, and determination.
Nara
NaraVida isn’t just a brand name—it’s a tribute to Nara, our 10-year-old Labradoodle and one of our original family dogs. Though she’s slowing down a little, she still embodies the pure joy and zest for life that only dogs can. The name “Nara” means “Happy,” and “Vida” means “Life”—a perfect reflection of the spirit we bring to everything we do.
Our home is wonderfully chaotic, full of love, laughter, and a little mischief from our three dogs (Nara, a Cockapoo, and a Sproodle), two cats, two gerbils, and our two kids, aged 5 and 2. It’s a lively, bustling household that keeps us on our toes, but it’s this beautiful chaos that inspires and drives us at NaraVida every single day.
